ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
From Concept to Completion
Every project begins with a strong design concept. In this initial stage, we work with the client to understand their vision for the space and establish the details – technical restrictions, financial considerations, lighting control, etc.
Following this, we move to the technical design process, where products are chosen and lighting calculations are conducted (Betalux Lighting Design always work to CIBSE and
BS EN standards).
The final stage is to generate a product specification document to assist in the tender process. The plans can be revised multiple times as required, and an open dialogue is maintained throughout the entire process.

The design concept is not the exclusive realm of lighting designers: sometimes it is undertaken by other parties. In these instances, some aspects of the technical design remain incomplete. Betalux Lighting Design can carry out lighting calculations for existing proposals and layouts, offer alternatives based on budgetary issues, and resolve any technical issues that may arise. For this all we require is a CAD drawing (or other 2D layout) and any relevant product details.
